<  Police Officer  ~  Speeding tickets

I have had several speeding tickets most of which were over two years ago, would having them prevent my chances in the interviewing process

The City of Mesquite policy states that we will not hire someone that has been convicted of three violations within the last 36 months. The violations include operating a vehicle in violation of drivers license restriction, disregarding traffic control signals and devices, exceeding speed limit, illegal operation of motor vehicle without state required insurance, and two traffic accidents determined to involve contributory negligence. If a person is not excluded because of this rule, the violations will be closely examined to determine if an allowance will be granted.
